Eastvale is situated in the Inland Empire region of Riverside County and has a population of around 64,000. It’s considered a suburb of nearby Riverside.

Once overrun with dairy farms, today it’s known for its great weather, recreational activities, small-town feel, and central location only 45 miles away from downtown Los Angeles.

Eastvale is a lively city with many parks, restaurants, cafes, and shopping areas, including Vernola Marketplace, Eastvale Marketplace and The Merge of Eastvale.

Many festivals and events take place around Eastvale throughout the year, including the Koroneburg Renaissance Festival.

1. Spend an Afternoon in Riverwalk Park

Before you explore Eastvale and the surrounding area, spend some time in Riverwalk Park. This lovely green park is filled with wide-open spaces and leisure amenities.

Located within the 13 acres of Riverwalk Park are plenty of facilities to help you keep up with your fitness routine, including, a frisbee golf course, a track suitable for walking and biking, and exercise machines.

Picnic areas with BBQ grills are available if you wish to enjoy your lunch outdoors in the sun; a playground is also on-site.

2. Learn About Local History at Corona Heritage Park and Museum

The Corona Heritage Park features a series of buildings that were built in the early 1900s. These buildings are well-preserved and now house a variety of attractions.

The Corona Heritage Museum is housed in the building that was once the Foothill Lemon Ranch Company Store. Inside are various exhibits showcasing artefacts related to the area’s history.

Also on-site, is the 1904 Ranch House, several gardens, an arts colony, a gift shop, and the Specimen Citrus Grove, the largest ranch of its type in the state.

Various tours are available, and throughout the year several events take place in the park, including classes and cultural events.

3. Tee off at Dos Lagos Golf Course

One of the top public Golf Courses in nearby Corona is Dos Lagos Golf Course. Known for its beautiful views, it has plenty of challenges to keep your game fun and interesting, such as sand traps and water hazards.

This 18-hole par-70 course has four different sets of tees and is suitable for all levels.

5. Visit the Yanks Air Museum

The Yanks Air Museum in nearby Chino is a fascinating place for aviation-enthusiasts.

The amazing collection on show here is among the largest in the world and many of the aircraft are still in flying condition.

For more than 40 years the museum has been acquiring and showcasing aircraft, mainly fighter planes. Currently, there are over 200 planes on display, including a P-40 Warhawk and an F-16 Sabre.

At the museum, you’ll also learn about the history of military missions during many of the major wars, including WWII and The Vietnam War.

6. View Local Art at the Corona Art Gallery

The main goal of the Corona Art Gallery is the promotion of art in the community through exhibits and events during the year.

There are usually around seven art exhibits each year and this is how many local artists get their start. Workshops, classes and community events are also held throughout the year.

7. Have a Thrilling Day at the Skull Canyon Zipline

Nearby Corona is where you’ll find an attraction that is fun, thrilling, and suitable for the whole family.

The Skull Canyon Zipline spans 160 acres of pristine wilderness. There are four unique courses to choose from, depending on how high you want to soar above the views of Corona Lake and the Cleveland National Forest.

The most suitable course for children, and first-timers, is The Original Course; 2,800 feet in length and 80 feet high. The Speed Run is a side-by-side course.

The Extreme Course and Monster Course are much longer and higher. A Sky Gym with an aerial adventure course is also on-site.

8. Explore Prado Regional Park

Rain or shine, there’s always something to do at Prado Regional Park as there are both indoor and outdoor facilities at this large complex.

Some of the outdoor activities you can try include hiking and biking, and fishing in the 60-acre lake.

There are two 18-hole disc golf courses, picnic areas, a shooting range, a children’s water play area, and an overnight camping area. An indoor recreational centre is also on-site.

9. Check out the Corona Certified Farmers’ Market

The Corona Certified Farmers’ Market takes place once a week throughout the year. Come rain or shine, dedicated vendors from all over the region sell their quality, local products.

As you browse the market, you’ll find a wide range of fresh fruit and vegetables from local farmers. Other items you’ll find include eggs, honey, flowers, homemade baked goods, gourmet food and handcrafted jewellery.

10. Take the Kids to the Chino Youth Museum

Since 1999, the Chino Youth Museum has been providing children with fun, learning experiences. The unique and interactive exhibits are centred around everyday life and life skills.

This unique outdoor shopping area is located near two scenic lakes. It features a pretty bamboo bridge and stunning views of the Temescal Valley.

The retail stores include Bath and Body Works, Brighton Collectables, Z Gallery and Windsor.

Baco Wine and Grill and Fatburger and Buffalo’s are just a couple of the eateries available. A movie theatre is also on-site and, from time to time, concerts take place in the amphitheatre.

Since the mid-70s, Prado Equestrian Center has been offering equestrian facilities and guided trail rides to horse-riding enthusiasts and novices alike.

This family-friendly centre offers dressage, jumping and round areas, for experienced riders. For those who are not as experienced, guided trail rides with a knowledgeable instructor are offered on certain days of the week.

The on-site shop sells a variety of equestrian-related gifts and equipment.

The Planes of Fame Air Museum in nearby Chino was the first Aviation museum of its type in the region. Since the late 1950s, the museum has been exhibiting historic military aircraft.

Most of the aircraft featured are World War II planes, but there are also Korean, Vietnam, and Cold War planes on display. A library and gift shop is on-site.
