The avid art collector Richard Kessler renovated this beauty in 2005, respecting and restoring the elegance of the original structure while updating it with modern amenities and finishes.

With a AAA Four-Diamond rating, this property has been deemed Savannah’s most iconic hotel. Unwind with your loved one in the Poseidon Spa onsite, or pick up a new trade at the 700 Kitchen Cooking School, where you’ll learn the traditional Southern staples of homemade biscuits and pralines, among other dishes. Chanticleer Inn Bed & Breakfast

Escape to the serenity of Georgia’s mountains at the Chanticleer Inn. Bordering Tennessee and Alabama, Chanticleer sits atop Lookout Mountain, with beautiful views of the surrounding Chattanooga Valley. I highly recommend walking one of the marked hiking trails in the valley even if you’re not an avid trekker in everyday life.

You and your loved one frankly have to get out into nature at this destination. Otherwise you’ll miss the chance of explorering Rock City. Sat at the top of Lookout Mountain, it’s a stunning site of ancient rock formations and quiet trails, only a few minutes’ walk from the Chanticleer.

Afterwards, head over to Ruby Falls, a waterfall and cave in Lookout Mountain that was once used as a campsite by American Indians and a hideout for outlaws. It’s today a wonderful excuse for couples to enjoy time together in the fresh air. And for after dark, my advise is to request a room with a whirlpool tub and a fireplace.

One of Helen, Georgia’s most recognizable landmarks, the working windmill at the end of Main Street is actually a full-on luxury hotel. Its handful of uniquely designed and decorated rooms and suites within the body of the windmill are rich in both personality and romance.

Within only ten miles from the Heidi are all the typical attractions of the Georgia countryside: gold mines, zip lines, golf courses, river tubing, hiking trails, and fishing, to name just a few. And all just a couple of hours from Atlanta. With a 7,500 square-foot spa, championship 18-hole golf course, horse stables, and exceptional dining, you and your loved one can do it all—or nothing at all—at Brasstown. I suggest you strike a few golf balls before relaxing on the sun loungers of the free-form outdoor pool.
