If you’re feeling the need to beat the heat this summer or looking for a great indoor waterpark to banish the winter blues, look no further than the great water parks of Washington. Every park offers something unique from the exciting, wild rides and slides to the crystal clear waters of wave pools and lazy rivers alike. If you live in the area, the parks will keep you returning for more fun and if you’re from out of town, be sure to work one into your vacation!

For a day of delighting family fun, adrenaline packed adventures, and wet and wild splashes, head on over to Wild Waves. There’s a slide for every age and ability at the park. Jump on one of the twisting turning body slides, tube down the huge bowl slide, or raft down the Raging River Ride. Explore the cool waters of the main pool or visit Hook’s Lagoon, a giant three story tree house full of interactive activities and wet and wild fun. Experience relaxation at its finest down the Konga Lazy River or soak in the warm waters of the hot tub. Wild Waves has so much to do you’ll want to come back to experience it all!

For hours of fun that will keep you wanting to come back for more, visit the Southside Family Aquatic Facility. For adrenaline seekers there’s a huge two hundred foot long waterslide. The park has huge heated swimming pools for hours of splashing fun. There’s a zero-depth activity pool for tots, and exciting kiddie areas featuring interactive play structures, water cannons and spray features.

The lazy river is sure to delight and soak with rapids, geysers and tumbling buckets along the route. There’s a huge grassy space for picnicking, a dry playground complete with a climbing wall, a basketball court, and a BBQ area. The park offers concession, and is home to Swim and A Movie (the schedule can be found online). Day admission and family passes are affordable making the facility a great way to enjoy family fun on a budget.

Open seasonally, this outdoor park has a ton of water soaked activities sure to delight people of all ages. Brand new in 2014, the center has exciting slides, and a huge pool with crystal clear water. There are huge water toys including a giant mushroom and pipes sure to delight and entertain, a beach-entry style pool and brand new walkways and benches.

The park is cash or cheque only. Located right next to the center is the Kiddy Spray Park featuring fun activities and tons of jets to keep you soaked and cooled down. The spray park is free of charge and open all day.

4. Splash Down, Spokane Valley

For a day filled with excitement, laughter and splashes, head to Splash Down. Pick a team and battle it out at the Water Wars. Teams get buckets of water balloons and a launcher to aim at their opponent’s station across the way. If adrenaline is what you’re after, slide down the Fastball, the brand new slide. Race your friends to see who will make it down the six story slide the fastest. Grab a tube (single or double) and blast down the Cannonbowl, a huge flume which empties into a giant bowl. Go spinning round and round before dropping to the waters below. Choose one of the four, four hundred foot long Spokane Falls slides for a ride that’s sure to get your heart racing.

Just for the kiddies there’s Petey’s lil’ Puffer Fish Lagoon complete with three pools and four slides. Purchase a water toy and enter the Big Squirt filling station for hours of fun. The park comes complete with a concession and gift shop.

This thirty-five hundred square foot indoor park features two waterslides for hours of wet and wild fun. Splish and splash in the huge eleven hundred square foot pool.

These crystals waters make for enjoyable swimming for people of all ages. If you came to relax and unwind, let the warm waters of the large ten person hot tub wash your cares away. The park hosts birthday parties and offers fun packages.

Birch Bay has everything you could want to keep you cool and create great memories. Nine different twisting, turning slides are sure to give you the heart racing, adrenaline paced action you’ve been after.

There’s a huge heated pool for swimming and splashing and cooling off or relax in the warm waters of the hot tub. Huge kiddie areas with interactive features and great water play structures are sure to delight for hours!

If you’re looking for fun for the whole family, look no further than Slidewaters. The park features something for everyone. If relaxing is your thing, float down the tranquil waters of the five hundred foot lazy river or enjoy the warm waters of the hot tub.

The aqua zoo was created just with tots in mind and features two small slides and interactive water features. For adventure seekers big and small there’s a whole host of slides. For beginner sliders there’s the Bug-a-boo or the Squirt Gun. For parents who want to slide with children there’s the White Water, the Run Amuck and the Blue Blaster.

For heart pounding action there’s the Sidewinder and Corkscrew slides, full of three hundred and sixty degree turns. If tubing is more your thing check out the Thunder Rapids or Tube Blaster. Slide down the Purple Haze, four hundred feet of dark twists and turns and surprises. If all that adventure has wet your appetite, check out the concession.

Open seasonally from June until September, the Henry Moses Aquatic Center offers tons of fun for the whole family. Two huge twenty-six foot tall orange and blue waterslides rise above the park. A nine thousand square foot leisure pool features zero-depth entry so even the smallest of children can splash away and a wave machine for delightful swells.

If lap swimming is your thing, check out the thirty-three hundred square foot six lane lap pool. The park also comes complete with a  windy lazy river, island lagoon, interactive kiddie areas featuring a huge water play structure, water spray area, and other crazy, wild spray features to keep you soaked for hours.

Northside Aquatics Center has it all to keep your family refreshed and entertained! Splash or swim in the heated swimming pool and enjoy the deep end with diving board and lap swimming.  Take the tots to the zero depth activity pool. For thrills and spills there’s a twenty foot water slide. Exciting kiddie areas come packed with lemon drop buckets and jets.

There’s also a huge deck space made just for picnics. The center does feature special family swim nights and also Swim and a Movie. If you’re looking for aquatic classes or swimming lessons, look no further, the center offers them as well! Daily admission and family passes are reasonably priced so you can keep coming back for more wet and wild fun!

Cool off in style at Surf ‘n Slide Water Park. The park features two, two hundred foot slides and a tube slide for adrenaline pumping action. Try the Flowrider surfing simulator for an unforgettable experience. Float down the calm waters of the three hundred foot lazy river or relax and soak up the sun from the large deck and patio area.

For the kiddies there’s exciting play areas featuring huge play structures, slides and a ton of water features to keep you soaked. There’s also a huge Olympic sized competitive swimming pool, diving boards, children’s playground, sand volleyball and a concession!
